Our company Radiotropolis.com is an
online interactive community, created for the growing number of independent
artists to gain exposure, sell their work, develop collaborative
relationships with other artists, and most importantly connect with
businesses that are looking for new talent. Our online community is unique
in that it caters to musicians, visual artists, writers, filmmakers,
etc.—artists from all different fields and genres, thus creating a truly
extensive interactive population. This letter will briefly explain a little
about our company, its vision and goals, a few of the benefits we offer to
artists, and how trends in society have made it a most opportune time for
our business to thrive.
Technology and the Internet have created a new trend of individualism and
independence within our society. Most everyday activities, including work,
can often be done at the click of a mouse from the comfort of home. Yet even
though more people are staying at home, business and consumerism still
thrive. It is most often easier to shop online than it is to go jumping
from store to store. This trend of individualism has had a dual effect on
society.
First, it has led to an increase of independent
thinking, an expansion of the imagination, and a heightening of the creative
mind. This has created an enormous uprising of independent artists looking
for ways to support themselves and their art. It is not just work to them,
it is a way of life.
The second effect individualism has had is the weakening of our community—a
community which is an essential component necessary for the independent
artist to gain exposure and find work. Combine this with the increased
competition amongst the growing numbers of artists, and it is easy to see
that there is a lack of opportunities for them to survive within their
chosen profession.
Modern technology and the Internet have made it
possible for us to create Radiotropolis.com—a community online where these
artists can find work, businesses can find promotional/marketing
opportunities as well as the new talent they are looking for. With a prime
market, and more than adequate technology, our vision was born. A highly
adaptable and flexible community—able to bend and stretch to meet the needs
of both the artists and the businesses that are a part of it. A new medium
to launch independent artists to new levels of exposure never before
available.
We work to create an atmosphere in which the
artist can stay creatively free while at the same time meet their
professional needs. By creating this community where the artist can thrive,
we draw in an enormous pool of individuals displaying their work and their
talent, thus making it simple for businesses large and small to find the
talent they need within our site.
Therefore, it is an important part of our
concept to work closely with businesses and other organizations, creating
innovative ways for them to function within the community that would be
beneficial for their company’s needs. We are
currently developing strategic alliances and partnerships with festivals,
concert promoters, chambers of commerce, colleges and universities such as
Columbia College, and other key entities throughout the US.
We will soon be setting up concerts in different
cities around the country in which top bands from Radiotropolis will be
selected to perform live. We now have a record
label that will select among the best artists already incorporated in
Radiotropolis and who do not have a label, to be signed and represented by
us. These are just a few of the benefits we offer to musicians including
the capability to sell their music on our site and get work to perform
across the US.
